Kristopher C. Walter (Producer)
"Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination." - Oscar Wilde.
"We didn't actually overspend our budget. The allocation simply fell short of our expenditure." - Keith Davis.
As a producer, Kristopher C Walter lives and dies by these two adages. "You could squeeze a dime out of a nickel if you choked it hard enough" is the motto he goes by. His experiences include work on features, short films, commercials, promos and music videos. He's been shot at, cleaned up human excrement, dealt with every type of disaster a production could encounter and ordered a $50 salad from almost every five star hotel in the country.
His first ever producing venture on the short "Jack Calibre" saw the debut screen appearance of actress Joanna Angel. He co wrote the film with director Adam D'angelo and then failed to find a distributor when Adam insisted on using Robert Palmer's "Simply Irresistable" as the score for the entire film. Adam thinks it's just a remarkable coincidence.
His work on Music Videos such as The Oggs' "Get it On" and Let it Burn's "From Jersey with Love" has arguably led to the breakup of the bands almost immediately after filming. He thinks it's just a remarkable coincidence.
His current work as a producer of on air promos at MTV has put him in the line of fire of agents, publicists, pop stars and their parents everywhere and allows him the unique opportunity to distort the minds of 13 year olds everywhere. As his father might say "Kris' work at MTV is the reason why this new generation of children is going to hell in a hand basket." Kris just thinks it's a remarkable coincidence.
Current ventures include a possible spec pilot for a TV show entitled "Yellow Jackets".
He lives in Brooklyn, New York with his girlfriend and her cat. Sometimes they have guests.
